What to expect.

  1. A quick check-in

    Your hygienist looks over your history and asks about any sensitivity or anxiety so we can tune the cleaning to you.

  2. Buildup, gone

    We carefully clear plaque and tartar from along the gumline and between teeth — the spots flossing alone can't always reach.

  3. Polish and floss

    A gentle polish leaves your teeth smooth and bright, followed by a careful flossing that you'll actually feel afterward.

How often should I get a cleaning?
Twice a year covers most people. If you're prone to buildup or have any gum issues, we may suggest checking in a little more often.
Will the cleaning hurt?
Cleanings are usually very comfortable. If your gums are sensitive, tell us at the start and we'll go gently — you can always raise a hand and we'll pause.
My gums bleed when I floss. Is that bad?
A little bleeding usually means your gums need more consistent care, not less. We'll show you what's going on and a small daily routine to turn it around.
Will my teeth look whiter after a cleaning?
